Help send a Blind saiiling team to Oman Nov 30 - Dec 8 to represent Canada in the World Sailing Inclusion Championships !
Ginny Duff, Rhys Cashin, Paris Saserman and Walt Raineri have teamed up to represent Canada in the World Sailing Inclusion championships, Blind category in Oman, Nov 30 - Dec 8, 2025.
The World Sailing Inclusion Championship brings together sailors of all abilities to compete on a level playing field, celebrating teamwork and inclusion in sport.
The Blind category will be sailed on the Far East 28Rs. All boats are crewed by 2 blind sailors and 2 sighted sailors.
To make this campaign a reality, we need your support. We have budgeted $15,000 to pay for flights, accommodation and event fees for Team Canada
Our team:
Ginny Duff (blind sailor) will be at the helm. She is a Silver medalist from the World Blind Sailing Championships (2019) and a Silver medalist in the US Para-sailing championships (2024). Winner of The Jarvis Cup in recognition of International Excellence in the Sport of Sailing (RCYC 2024).
Rhys Cashin (18) will be our tactician. He is the U-18 Canadian National Champion in the ILCA class, with extensive experience at national and international regattas.
Walt Raineri (blind sailor) will be the main sheet trimmer. He is a two-time Bronze medalist in World Championship Blind Match Racing regattas and a veteran of several World Championship Blind Fleet Racing regattas
Paris Sasarman (16) will be the jib trimmer. He is a two-time Canadian National Champion in the 420 class, known for his composure and tactical precision.
This event is much more than a regatta — it’s a chance to represent Canada, support inclusive sport, and demonstrate the power of teamwork and ability coming together.
We are incredibly grateful for amy support you can offer us.
