Month after month, women’s sport is proving its power by breaking viewing records, selling out venues, and inspiring the next generation.
While we have made great strides in sailing, more needs to be done. Less than 10% of participants in professional sailing classes are women and women hold just 3% of paid positions in our sport.
Kairos Racing is here to change that.
We are building Canada’s first dedicated platform for women and youth in sailing, establishing pathways that lead from grassroots learning to professional racing on the world stage.

Our mission is to advance the state of Canadian sailing by building sustainable platforms for performance, mentorship, and career pathways. We are creating a diverse Canadian team that challenges the status quo, competes at the highest levels, and thrives both on and off the water.
Sustainable Pathways
- Kairos Racing Women’s Foundational Pathways – A core team of amateur and professional female sailors, focused on mentorship, skill development, and international competition.
- Women's Inshore Pathway – Training and racing in one-design classes like IC37, J70, and Melges24, with direct links to professional sailing careers.
- Women's Match Racing Pathway – From Grade 4 to Grade 1 events, with the goal of a Canadian female skipper breaking into the top 10 in the world within the next three years.
- Women's Offshore Pathway – Hands-on experience in leadership roles such as Team Captain, Navigator, and Watch Captain in offshore events.
- Kairos Racing Foiling & Youth Pathway – Training and competition in foiling boats, including AC40 simulation, to prepare the next generation of Canadian women and youth for the cutting edge of the sport.
- Kairos Racing Onshore Pathways - Supporting mentorship, internship and career opportunities for women in STEM, Leadership and Coaching roles.
STEM Pathway - Creating career pathways and opportunities with the sailing industry in STEM for Canadian women.
Leadership Pathway - Creating mentorship and career pathways for Canadian women in sailing sport leadership.
Coaching Pathway - Building high performance coaching experience, mentorship and career pathways for Canadian female coaches.
