Storm Match Racing (Halifax, NS), skippered by Peter Wickwire, currently ranks top 10 in World Sailing’s Open Match Race Rankings. Peter has been representing Canada, Nova Scotia, RNSYS and CYC for many years internationally on the match racing circuit. He is a Canadian National Match Racing Champion, Canada’s Cup Champion, Nations Cup helm for Canada multiple times and holds the highest ranking of a Canadian in World Sailing's modern Open Match Race rankings. Storm Match racing is the first Canadian team to gain entry into The Congressional Cup since 1991.

In One Design fleet racing Peter is a North American Champion, a multiple Canadian Champion, and has achieved multiple World Championship Podiums. He has also won eight (8!) Chester Race Weeks and six Bermuda International Race Weeks. Peter has been named Nova Scotia Sailor of the Year on multiple occasions and has been a finalist for the Rolex CSOTY.
