Nathan Pearce is an elite Canadian Formula Kite athlete with his sights set on representing Canada at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. As one of Canada's leading young Formula Kite racers, Nathan is focused on making the transition from youth success to senior international competition and establishing himself among the world's best athletes in the sport. His pathway is centered on continuous development, international experience, and achieving the results required to compete at the Olympic level.

Nathan's recent performances demonstrate his progress toward this goal. In 2025, he became the U17 Formula Kite European Champion, won the Canadian Formula Kite Championship, placed 8th overall at the Youth Sailing World Championships, and finished 17th overall and 2nd North American at the Formula Kite North American Championship. These results have positioned Nathan as one of Canada's strongest emerging Formula Kite athletes.

A major milestone in Nathan's Olympic pathway was helping secure Canada's qualification spot for the 2027 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru. This achievement provides Canada with the opportunity to compete for a pathway position toward the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, making the Pan American Games a critical step in Nathan's progression. Representing Canada in Lima will give Nathan the opportunity to compete against the top athletes from the Americas, gain valuable high-pressure championship experience, and fight for results that can help secure Canada's place on the Olympic stage.

Looking ahead, Nathan's focus is on maximizing every opportunity to develop as an international-level athlete. His training is dedicated to improving speed, race strategy, physical performance, equipment management, and consistency while competing against the world's best Formula Kite racers. The experience gained through major events such as the Pan American Games, World Championships, and international racing circuits will be essential in preparing him for Olympic competition.

Nathan's journey began with thousands of hours on the water, including more than 20,000 nautical miles of offshore sailing throughout the Pacific Ocean before discovering Formula Kite at age 10. That foundation has shaped his ability to adapt, compete, and perform in challenging conditions. Today, his goal is clear: represent Canada at the 2028 Olympic Games, compete for medals at the highest level of international Formula Kite racing, and continue building toward a long-term career as a world-class athlete.
