We are a sister sailing duo that has been racing together in club 420s as members of the Kingston Yacht Club for the past three years. Before this, we sailed optimists, lasers and on our family’s Mirage 24.
After this year’s Sail Canada’s 420 Youth Nationals held August 2-5, we are excited to switch over to the 29er leading up to the 29er Sail Canada Youth Nationals August 21-24. We appreciate your support in helping fund equipment for this event. We are looking forward to learning new sailing skills in a skiff!
Highlights from the past two years include:
2025
- Silver medal (and top female crew) at the Sail Canada Youth 420 nationals (88 boats)
- 1st place at PCYC Steerer’s Regatta in July (67 boats)
- 1st place RHYC Lilac Regatta in May (19 boats)
- 8th place PCYC Four Sister’s Regatta in July (top female crew) (61 boats)
2024
- Silver medal at the Ontario Summer Games (Port Stanley, August)
- 4th place (and top female crew) at the Sail Canada Youth 420 nationals
Outside of sailing, we have both played rep hockey for the Kingston Ice Wolves. As for school, Nikola is going into grade 10 while Anna is heading to Queen’s for first year engineering.
Through sports and school, we have learned the importance of putting our best effort forward to achieve goals and look forward to a lot of practice so we can better surf down the waves in a 29er!
