Asher started sailing in 2018 and joined CanSail program in 2020 as an Optimist Sailor.

He is currently in CanSail Level 5 and member of the Hubbards Sailing Club Opti Race Team and ranked 29th in Canada

Asher 34th in 2025 Nationals and 6th in 2025 Nova Scotia Provincials

2023 and 2024 OptiJam winner of intermediate fleet in Chester NS

Finished 2nd at Sail East (Eastern Canadians) in White Level Open Fleet in 2023 at SMSC, NS.

2023 and 2024 Hubbards Sailing Club MVP

Asher won the Opti Green Fleet Nationals in 2022 when they were in Lunenburg, NS
