With the next edition of the Vendée Globe Ocean Race set to start in France on November 10th, I thought there would be renewed interest in the film we made about the 2008 Edition of this ultimate test of grit, spirit and technology.
Having sailed quite a bit on a Canadian built Open 60 and having closely followed the 2008 race, I decided to start this blog to do a running commentary on the 2012 Edition of the Vendee Globe race and make sure people know about all the films made about sailing Open 60's - simply awesome machines!
The film about the 2008 Vendee Globe Ocean Race is available on iTunes, Amazon and SonyPS (Netflix coming soon) and all the money gets put back into sailing through Wind Athletes Canada - a charitable organization supporting sailing.
