The World Sailing Inclusion Championships will be held from November 28 to December 9, 2025, at the Barceló Mussanah Resort in Oman. This international event brings together sailors of all abilities to compete on a level playing field, celebrating teamwork and inclusion in sport.
In the Blind Sailing category, two outstanding Canadian athletes — both visually impaired — will represent Canada and are seeking two sighted sailors to support them on the water. Paris and I have been invited to join their team, helping them compete and representing Canada on the world stage.
Paris is the Canadian National Champion in the 420 class, known for his composure and tactical precision. I, Rhys Cashin (18), am the U-18 Canadian National Champion in the ILCA class, with extensive experience at national and international regattas. Together, we’re bringing our teamwork and racing experience to help our blind teammates perform at their best.
While the visually impaired sailors are covering their own expenses, Paris and I are responsible for our travel and participation costs. To make this opportunity possible, we’re raising $10,000 to cover flights, accommodation, and event fees.
This event is much more than a regatta — it’s a chance to represent Canada, support inclusive sport, and demonstrate the power of teamwork and ability coming together. We would be incredibly grateful if you’d consider supporting our campaign and helping us make this opportunity a reality.
Thank you very much for your time and support.
