


Lee Parkhill in a Canada Olympian and Pan American Games Bronze Medalist, fulfilling a lifelong dream of wanting to represent Canada since he competed at his first Canadian championships in 2006. He achieved a career highlight in qualifying for the 2015 Pan Am Games, a true home Games for the sailor who lives in Oakville, Ontario. In 2015 Lee won the Laser bronze medal at those Pan American Games, which he followed up with a fifth place finish at the Olympic test event in Rio, one year before the Olympics. In June 2016, Parkhill finished fourth at the World Cup event in England after posting second place finishes in the last two races, officially qualifying him to represent Canada at the 2016 Olympics in Rio, where he ended up finishing in 23rd place.
Lee is currently sailing in the etchells fleet out of the Oakville Yacht Squadron, where his team on TAG has placed 2ndat the 2021 and 2022 Canadian Championships.
This year, Lee is looking to represent Canada again on the international stage, attempting to qualify for the Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile in the Sunfish class. The qualification process will begin in March at the US Nationals (Country qualifier) and continue in June at the North Americans (Athlete qualifier).
