Hugh Macrae

Hugh started sailing Optis at a young age in the summers to fill the bridge between hockey seasons. As time went on, Hugh found a passion for the sport of sailing that no other sport did before. After qualifying for two ISAF Youth World Championships, he witnessed firsthand the high calibre sailing that exists around the world creating a drive to chase down to best.

More recently, Hugh has completed his four-years of engineering undergrad and is now focused on the chase that began in 2012 from his first Youth Worlds. He recently finished 71st at the Hempel Worlds in Aarhus in August 2018.
